Day 161: Memories From The Past

161I went home 2 days ago to attend my Uncle’s funeral service. After the service, my cousins and I were having small talks while drinking “bahalina/tuba” a.k.a. coconut wine. 15 years ago, we were still kids. With bed sheets and tablecloth wrapped around our necks, we played hero and damsel in distress. We used to hold stick as sort of sword, or whatever we played at that time. Nowadays, the only thing that’s wrapped around our necks are realities of life. The stick we used to hold are now glasses, full fermented coconut milk to drown our failed dreams of glory. *sigh* I miss my childhood…
